We build the infrastructure. You prove the governance.
Our team has shipped production systems across regulated industries: banking, supply chain, public-private partnerships. We've worked inside the compliance frameworks. Now we're automating them.
Compliance is an engineering problem. Governance is an infrastructure problem. We solve both.
Our Mission
Verify everything. Trust nothing. Automate the rest.
ARPANET wasn't designed for immutability. It was designed for resilience. The 1822 protocol used Interface Message Processors as bridges between nodes, ensuring data integrity across a network where any single point could fail. That architecture gave us the internet.
The problem has evolved. Agents are transacting with agents at scale. AI is making decisions faster than humans can audit them. The question isn't just whether the network survives. It's whether you can prove what happened at every node, at every gate, before the call is even made. Stanislav Petrov detected the glitch. But at machine speed, across thousands of nodes, there is no Petrov.
We build the infrastructure that answers that question. Automated governance through the nodes. Immutable audit trails across every system. Zero-trust verification that doesn't depend on someone catching the error. Because at the speed AI operates, no one will.
The Result
Regulatory-ready compliance infrastructure in a 14-week integration sprint. Architected for verification, engineered for scale, delivered without compromise.
How We Operate
Deploy, don't advise.
We deliver production infrastructure with single-point accountability. From protocol architecture to regulatory navigation to go-live.
The architecture is the guarantee.
The system proves the outcome. Not a person, not a policy, not a promise.
Ship fast, verify everything.
We compress 18-month enterprise timelines into 14-week sprints. Not by cutting corners, but by eliminating the bureaucracy that slows down teams who already know what to build.
Anticipate the response before the call.
Our infrastructure proves governance continuously, at every node, before anyone asks.
Build for the network you can't yet see.
Today's regulations (GENIUS Act, MiCA, CMMC) are the starting point. We build for the future where machines transact with machines and governance is either automated or it doesn't exist.
Zero-trust is a design philosophy, not a product feature.
Trust is a single point of failure. You verify at every node, every gate, every transaction. No exceptions. Not even for us.
Leadership
BlockSkunk's strength lies in our team's rare combination of capabilities:
Team Members
Michael Santore
CEO
Michael is the Founder of BlockSkunk and a systems architect with 10+ years building infrastructure at scale. He architected treasury APIs facilitating $2.5B in loans at Clearco and designed predictive IoT and logistics systems at Republic Services. He founded BlockSkunk to solve the compliance gap that's kept regulated enterprises from adopting blockchain, building with a small, elite team to tackle some of the most complex infrastructure challenges in regulated industries.
John Rainey
John is a veteran technologist with decades of experience in digital transformation, enterprise software delivery, data-driven systems, and high-scale customer acquisition platforms. His background includes leading multimillion-dollar custom software initiatives across government, Fortune-500, healthcare, construction, and industrial sectors—always with an emphasis on precision, automation, and operational clarity. John's expertise in orchestrating large-scale platforms strengthens BlockSkunk's ability to serve enterprise clients that require accountable, end-to-end blockchain integration.
Doug Houlin
Doug leverages decades of deep-tech experience across AI governance, telecommunications (4G/5G/6G), spatial computing, digital health, transportation, and federal-level standards development. His background includes leading AV/Smart City strategy, shaping industry policy through organizations like the FCC and 5GAA, and contributing to responsible-AI frameworks across the U.S. and EU. Doug's systems-level expertise strengthens BlockSkunk's compliance-native architecture, especially where AI, blockchain, and national-scale infrastructure intersect.
Jacob Blish
Strategic Advisor, Digital Asset Infrastructure
Jacob brings deep expertise at the intersection of TradFi and Web3, having led BD at Lido, the largest liquid staking protocol in DeFi, and scaled operations at ConsenSys. He has designed token systems generating over $100M in network value and built decentralized identity infrastructure adopted by global enterprises. As Founder of Glacis Labs, Jacob is actively building at the frontier of Web3 infrastructure, giving him firsthand experience navigating the regulatory and technical challenges BlockSkunk is designed to solve.
Matthew Walkup
Head of Data & AI Orchestration
Matthew brings over 15 years of experience turning complex operational data into decisions that move the needle. As Director of Business Insights at McKesson, one of the largest healthcare companies in the world, he has built data infrastructure and analytics systems at enterprise scale. Before healthcare, he managed 911 emergency communications for Montgomery County—where data quality is literally life-or-death—shaping how he approaches operational intelligence at BlockSkunk: with urgency, precision, and a bias toward outcomes over dashboards.
